Narrative and Expository
Hello again all you wonderful writers out there! You have been working hard on writing different types of writing this year, especially narrative and expository writing. Can you explain the differences between these two different types of writing? What makes them different? Which kind of writing do you enjoy the most? Why do you enjoy it? Narrative writing is important when you are wanting to get your thoughts about an event down on paper and tell a story. Expository writing, and learning how to support your thoughts with supporting ideas will be an important skill for you all through school. It is important for you to express your opinion or ideas about a topic and them support it with relevant details. You will see as you move on to 5th grade, and then to middle school, that your writing skills are very important. Keep practicing what you have learned in class, and your skills will only continue to improve. Keep writing!
